Po-An Pan, also named Jeffrey, is a doctoral researcher at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems.
His current research interest is in the field of soft robotic materials; especially material properties optimization and enhancement of the HASEL actuators. (Hydraulically Amplified Self-healing Electrostatic)
Before Jeffrey started his Ph.D career in the late 2022, he had worked a couple of years as a senior research & development engineer in Taiwan semiconductor industry.
He specializes in plasma technology, especially for advanced plasma etching process development.
Relevant research focus and application, such as: surface/interface modification, profile optimization and byproduct removal for both dielectric and polymeric materials.
Jeffrey got both his Msc. and Bsc. in the field of material science in the Department of Engineering and System Science at National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan.
During his graduate study period, Jeffrey's research mainly focused on: fabricating and enhancing electrical performance of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC), conductive polymer synthesis and related material characterization and analysis.
