Lawrence is a postdoctoral researcher interested in computational design, soft robotic actuators, and additive manufacturing. He especially enjoys research that combines practical experiments and numerical modeling. When he's away from his desk he is likely taking a walk or tinkering on a personal project.

He holds a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
